Saint Louis Priory School shows commitment to students with Nevco scoring upgrades across campus

New video, scoring and audio solutions elevating the experience for multiple athletic programs

EDWARDSVILLE, IL, March 28, 2024 – There is a school in Missouri that knows something about the standards of success.

Saint Louis Priory School, a private all-boys school founded in 1956, has won 15 team state championships and multiple individual state titles in its history across nine different sports. With that kind of track record, the school sought to ensure the facilities its athletic programs call home matched the level of excellence seen through the years of competing at the highest level and partnered with Nevco Sports, LLC to make that happen. The Ravens received scoring upgrades at four different venues across the school’s 150-acre campus, including two new video displays and an audio system.

One of the new scoring solutions in action is at Busch Field at Todd Stadium, home to Priory’s football, lacrosse and track and field teams. A new full-color 10mm LED Video Display reaching 9.9’H and stretching 22.05’W is boosting Priory’s athletic programs with captivating new elements to maximize the enjoyment and spirit of the game-day experience. Over 193,000 new pixels have become part of the action to keep fans engaged from pre-game highlights and introductions to showcasing live gameplay and instant replays, key stats and other information, revenue-generating sponsorships, and vibrant graphics that deliver a true home field advantage. All this and more are possible through Nevco Creative Services, which gives the school the power to shape game-day to its exact liking.

The display sits above a custom-strip Football Scoreboard with Electronic Team Names (ETNs), allowing the school to customize the names of every team that plays at the facility for a personalized and welcoming experience. Flanking the sides of the display is non-illuminated signage prominently showing “Ravens” and a graphic of the school mascot to elevate school pride, and situated above the display is a Stadium Pro 1000™ Sound System with custom-imprinted front mesh scrim proudly reading “Saint Louis Priory School”. Topping off the entire video scoring solution is a Decorative Arch Truss with Truss Letters that spell out “Busch Field” along with the school’s logo in the middle. The upgrades at Todd Stadium were completed with a set of DGT-6 Delay of Game Timers independently powered by Solar Power Kits. Beyond game-day including lacrosse and track and field season in the spring, Priory has plans to utilize its new display for a movie night and other potential school-related activities.

The diamond where Priory plays baseball was next to receive upgrades with a Model 1608 Scoreboard lighting up McCabe Field. Like the other scoring solutions, this scoreboard also features ETNs to foster a welcoming environment for every visitor. Completing the upgrade is signage above the scoreboard which prominently shows the name of the venue and the school mascot flanking each side, along with a Decorative Arch Truss featuring the school logo.

Rounding out the outdoor facility improvements is the soccer field. A new Model 3602 Scoreboard was added, which features a Custom Team Name replacing “Home” with “Ravens” and signage displaying the team’s name and flanking school logos. The field has been the site of many victories for a soccer program that has won three state championships in its history, which includes two undefeated seasons. Tied with ultimate (frisbee) and hockey in state championship hardware, the prowess only comes second to a scholar bowl team on the academia side of competition that has won four.

Moving inside to Corley Gym is where a full-color 3.9mm LED Video Display can be found, ready to showcase Ravens’ basketball and wrestling. Spanning 6.89’H by 9.84’W, the display has over 166,000 eye-catching pixels to capture the attention and amplify the game-day atmosphere on the court and mat through engaging content. Beneath the big screen is a Model 2702 Scoreboard with ETNs for name customization and above the display is signage proudly featuring “Priory Ravens” flanked on each side by the school mascot. On the opposite end of the gymnasium is a Model 2772 Scoreboard with ETNs, also featuring signage above the scoreboard showcasing “Ravens” with the school logo flanking each side.

“It has been an honor and privilege to work with the incredible staff at Priory and elevate the game-day experience across campus for the students, fans and surrounding community,” said Josh Robbers, a Regional Video Consultant for Nevco. “No matter which team steps on the court or field of play, the scoring solutions should match the pride each program has representing their school. We sincerely appreciate Priory for entrusting us with their vision and we look forward to seeing the Ravens light up game-day for years to come.”

By choosing Nevco as their single-source provider for the campus-wide upgrades, Priory will run a simplified and efficient game-day operation with a dedicated team to support them as their needs evolve.
