RUSTON HIGH SCHOOL BOOSTS FAN’S GAME-DAY EXCITEMENT WITH NEVCO SCORING & AUDIO SOLUTION

GREENVILLE, IL, September 13, 2018 – Ruston High School delivered an upgrade to the fan experience for Bearcats fans this season with the addition of a new Nevco Video Display, Scoring and Audio Solution at James Field in L.J. “Hoss” Garrett Stadium in Ruston, Louisiana.

Inside the stadium, facing James Field, stands the new, Nevco 16mm Full Color LED Video Display which stretches nearly 20’ tall and 35’ wide. The board provides unrivaled image quality and contrast at every viewing angle in the stadium with an exquisite 444,600 pixels. The video display is capable of showcasing everything from thrilling game action and instant replays to vibrant animated graphics and sponsorship messages, operated through the use of the MotionRocket Sports Video Control System Software. The Bearcats will work with Nevco’s HYPE Creative Services to help develop and create custom branded graphics and fan prompts to further engage their crowd during time-outs and halftime.

“We are thrilled to complete our vision for the stadium with Nevco as our partner. The new Nevco video display and sound system will enhance the fan experience of attending an event at the stadium and open up new opportunities for our programs,” says Jerrod Baugh, Athletic Director at Ruston High School. “We are eager to get the season started with our new home field advantage.”

Ruston High School maximized their impact beyond the video display with the addition of the Nevco Stadium Pro™ 2000 Sound System. The Nevco Stadium Pro™ 2000 provides concert-like audio quality with two enclosed subwoofers, and rests discreetly above the video display in weather proof cabinets with a personalized imprinted front mesh face scrim, proudly displaying HOME OF THE BEARCATS. From pre-game music, player introductions, and complementary HYPE graphics to support the announcer’s commentary, the new video display, scoring and audio solution will leave an impressionable impact on all visitors at the stadium.

“We’re thankful for the opportunity presented by Ruston High School and we’re proud to be able to provide them with a solution that exceeds their overall expectations,” said Wes Wood, Nevco National Sports Video Sales Executive. “The new video display and Stadium Pro 2000 are sure to generate excitement and create an unforgettable experience for student-athletes and fans alike.”

Ruston High School debuted the video display on August 31 in the football home opener at James Field with a 41-7 victory. Check out the live install photo below, and be sure to visit nevco.com to read about more recent Nevco projects.
