THE UNIVERSITY OF NORTH FLORIDA KNOCKS IT OUT OF THE PARK WITH NEW BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL VIDEO DISPLAYS FROM NEVCO SPORTS LLC
GREENVILLE, IL, April 10, 2018- The University of North Florida (UNF), in Jacksonville, FL, partnered with Nevco once again to bring electrifying new Video Display Scoring Solutions to the homes of the Ospreys’ baseball and softball programs. The new state-of-the-art displays will bring an enhanced game-day experience to the Ospreys’ outdoor athletics like never before.
Harmon Stadium, home to Dusty Rhodes Field and the UNF Baseball team, will now feature a 22’ wide and 12’ high Nevco full color LED Video Display projecting over 88,000 vibrant pixels. Further enhancing the stadium is a custom model 1603 Baseball Scoreboard with crisp white LEDs, and Electronic Team Names that allow the Ospreys to change the home and guest names for every team that plays at their facility.
The softball team’s new Nevco full color display measures 19’ wide and 13’ high, bringing an excellent game-day experience for every seat in the UNF Softball complex through 63,000 eye-catching pixels. Accompanying the main display is a model 1610 Softball Scoreboard complete with white LEDs and sponsor signage.
UNF’s new baseball and softball upgrades bring a whole new meaning to the phrase ‘Home Run’. Both displays are bordered with non-illuminated signage displaying the University’s mascot, logos and corporate sponsors. Completing each display is an arched sign prominently placed on top, showcasing the University’s name and custom imprinted Osprey logo. These displays will feature crisp and sharp images to each home game, while providing engaging and interactive graphics and opportunities to highlight sponsors throughout the games.
“We are excited to extend our partnership with the University of North Florida,” says Nevco’s Director of Sports Video Sales, Eric Light. “We are proud to deliver an enhanced game-day atmosphere that both the baseball and softball teams can enjoy during their time playing at UNF.”
Both displays provide limitless options for an exciting game-day atmosphere for all Osprey fans. By utilizing MotionRocket Sports Video Control System software, each video board is capable of displaying interactive fan prompts, instant replays, live in-game action, and endless revenue-generating sponsorship spots. The software controls both LED units with a user-friendly, touchscreen interface to simplify game-day operations. Further extending their capabilities, both displays will interface with StatCrew, which enables UNF to show player headshots and up-to-the-minute statistics, providing a true major league experience at each home game.
Additionally, Nevco provided the Stalker Radar Gun package for the baseball team, which integrates with the main display to virtually project single pitch speeds throughout each game.
“We are excited to partner with Nevco once again to enhance the game-day experience at two more of our facilities,” says Director of Athletics at University of North Florida, Lee Moon. “The new video boards will provide our players, fans, and community with a captivating sports atmosphere they won’t ever want to leave.”
