SEGUIN ISD SIZES UP TO THE COMPETITION
GREENVILLE, IL, November 14, 2016 – Seguin ISD in Seguin, TX recently installed their new jaw-dropping Nevco LED Video Display and Audio Solution at Matador Stadium. This is phase one as part of a two-phase project which will also include a stand-alone video display and sound system facing the fan tailgate area outside of the Stadium. The combined square footage of the video display screens at Seguin ISD makes it one of the largest high school video display systems in the United States, equaling over 1,590 square feet of LED screens.
Making its debut just in time for the last home football game and the traditional Senior Night festivities, the massive LED Video Display stretches over 47’ wide and has the capability to incorporate variable content zoning features that allows the screen to show one large image or multiple zones of different content. It has the ability to display a variety of live video, instant replays, scoring and statistics, animations and graphics and sponsorship messages in over 320,000 pixels. Phase two includes a 9’H x 18’W Nevco 16mm LED Full Color Video Display facing the newly designed fan tailgate area. The two video displays not only gives Seguin ISD fans the ultimate accessibility to never miss an intense play during the game, but also allows Matador sponsors double the exposure when running their advertisements.
“The new video board from Nevco will provide hands-on educational opportunities to Seguin students who will be trained to operate it. Our students were trained and operating the new video display in one day and I’m proud of their excitement and embracement of this new educational resource. It will also make Matador Stadium and Seguin a more attractive option for events, such as football playoff games and band competitions, which could generate additional revenue for the Seguin economy. The opportunities with this new video display are endless and we are thrilled that we worked with Nevco to provide our community with a one-of-a-kind structure,” says Stetson Roane, Seguin ISD Superintendent.
Seguin ISD continued to maximize their impact beyond the new video displays with the addition of Nevco’s Stadium Pro™ Sound System attractively incorporated into both the field-facing video display scoring solution and the tailgate-facing video display. The video display inside Matador Stadium incorporates a large open air rectangular decorative truss with the Seguin ISD logo and personalized eyebrow sign resting above the Nevco Stadium Pro™ 2000. The Stadium Pro™ 2000 Sound System includes weather proof cabinets complete with personalized scrim proudly displaying SEGUIN MATADORS and two subwoofers enclosed for concert-like audio quality. The tailgate area video display will be accompanied by a Nevco Stadium Pro™ 1000 Sound System to get the fans ready for the Friday Night Lights like never before!
Seguin ISD also worked with Nevco’s creative division, HYPE Creative Services, to develop a branded headshot template, in-game fan prompts, including a noise meter, a 3D logo animation, and a helmet shuffle game.
“We are extremely excited about the new Nevco products installed at Seguin ISD and we are thankful they decided to work with us on this huge project. They wanted a unique, one-of-a-kind new scoring solution for Matador Stadium and I think that our end product was exactly what they had envisioned,” said Troy Burns, local Sales Consultant for Nevco, Inc.
