Nevco Video Displays light up new Paragon Star sports and recreation complex
New displays bring additional prestige to premiere Midwest destination
EDWARDSVILLE, IL, October 25, 2023 – A vision that has been developing for years is being fully realized and coming to fruition as the Paragon Star officially opened its doors to the public this summer.
The new 190-plus acre sports and entertainment development located in Lee’s Summit, MO intends to offer a vast array of uses from its multi-sport fields to restaurant and retail options, entertainment venues, office spaces, lodging, luxury apartments, trailheads and more. “Paragon” is defined as a ‘perfect example of a particular quality or model of excellence’ and that is exactly what this new destination is bringing to the table as a true place to live, work and play.
It began with the completion of 10 state-of-the-art professional fields of FIFA quality this past spring and the Paragon Star chose Nevco Sports, LLC to light up this portion of the complex with a total of five full-color true pixel LED Video Displays, consisting of a four multi-field displays and a larger stadium display. Combined, over 1.7 million pixels are elevating the experience for those who use the fields.
The 10mm stadium video scoring solution, measuring 19.34’H by 37.8’W, features a virtual scoring package to keep athletes, coaches and fans informed of the action on the field and engaging graphics and prompts from Nevco Creative Services are entertaining patrons from first to final whistle. The stadium display is complimented by a custom Nevco sound system and illuminating the top of the entire solution are letters prominently displaying “Paragon Star” along with the logo. The multi-field displays consist of a double-sided and two single-sided 6mm Video Displays measuring 6.81’H by 16.4’W.
Nevco’s displays are being utilized for a busy schedule that has included events such as the KC Clash Tournament, consisting of over 100 youth football teams across the country, and a watch party for the U.S. Women’s Soccer Team at the FIFA World Cup. Paragon Star will also serve as the host for numerous soccer tournaments, national soccer camps and league play, including a rising sport known as OmegaBall.

As the sports complex and entertainment district continues to complete its development, including 20 acres of commercial space, a sixth video display is planned for installation in the summer of 2024. The new full-color 6mm LED Video Display measuring 19.91’H by 37.48’W will function as a village display for Paragon Star’s residents and guests, adding even further to the mixed-use development’s stature as a destination.
