Friday Night Lights are Back!

Time to show off some of our favorite installations just in time for football season.

As the sun sets on another summer, the air fills with a familiar energy—it’s that time of year again: Friday Night Lights are back! Across the country, high school stadiums are welcoming fans, families, and students to what promises to be an exhilarating season of football. Beyond the touchdowns and tackles, this cherished tradition brings communities together in ways that are hard to quantify but impossible to ignore.

For many towns, Friday nights are more than just a game; they are a ritual. The excitement begins long before the kickoff, with tailgates, pep rallies, and spirited gatherings. For us at Nevco, it begins with the installation of our scoring and display boards. Whether it’s a video display, scoreboard, sound system, or all three, we pride ourselves in taking part in the game-day action across the country.

In honor of football being back, we are sharing some of our 2024 projects lighting up the gridiron this fall.

Starting off strong down south is Waller High School in Waller, TX. We had the pleasure of installing:

  • Full Color 10mm LED Video Display (44.09’H x 56.69’W)
  • Custom Strip Intelligent Caption LED Scoreboard (58’W x 5’H x 8”D)
  • (2) Decorative Arch Truss and Rear-Lit Logo
  • Custom Stadium Pro 3000 Sound System with integrated concourse speakers
  • (2) LED FT-24-T14 Field Timers
  • Custom Control Room Partnering with 1210 Productions

Waller’s display is recorded as one of the largest high school displays in the country. Everything’s bigger in Texas!

Heading east is Coosa Christian School in Gadsden, AL. They invested in:

  • Full Color 10mm LED Video Display (12.6’H x 25.2’W)
  • Decorative Truss Arch, Logo and Letters

The display is surrounded by advertisement signage, providing optimal exposure for sponsors at each game. With football being such a valued sport in Alabama, this addition was just what the school needed.

Our next featured project is in Paris High School in Paris, KY. This recent installation was the cherry on top for their facility. The Greyhounds upgraded to:

  • Full Color 10mm LED Video Display (15.75’H x 28.35’W)
  • Stadium Pro 1500 Sound System
  • Sponsor Signage below the board
  • Set of DGT-6-T14 Delay of Game Timers

The display was set up in perfect time for this football season home opener.

Continuing North is Valparaiso High School in Valparaiso, IN. They replaced their existing display with:

  • Full Color 10mm LED True Pixel Video Display (15.75’H x 31.5’W)
  • Model 7620 LED Scoreboard
  • Stadium Pro 1500 Sound System
  • DGT-6-T14 LED Delay of Timer
  • Custom Split Decorative Arch Truss
  • Decorative Truss Letters
  • Sponsor Signage surrounds the display

The new football display marks the third facility enhancement Valparaiso has teamed up with Nevco on in the last 4 years. We appreciate working with repeated customers more than they know.

Finally, the last installation we would like to highlight on this tour is Old Boys High School in Brooklyn, NY. The school upgraded to:

  • Full Color 10mm LED True Pixel Video Display (15.75’H x 31.5’W)
  • Stadium Pro 1000 Sound System
  • Decorative Arch Truss and Logo
  • Imprinted sign displaying ‘THE NEST’

This field is known for its history and we’re happy to have played a part in creating future historic events.
