Joplin High School Selects Nevco for Junge Field Upgrades
Edwardsville, IL – The Joplin community has come together as one and partnered with Nevco to provide Junge Field the game day atmosphere it deserves. The Eagles will be improving from a 14’H by 24’W scoreboard to a massive new video board standing at 18’H by 41”W that is paid for solely with revenue generated from local sponsors.
Junge Field is a historic high school stadium built in 1934 and was one of the few symbolic structures in Joplin fortunate enough to be passed by Mother Nature in the 2011 devastating Joplin tornado. The stadium not only holds 4,000 fans but also holds much integrity and character to the community. Joplin has come together at an all-time high to continue build and improve the historic Junge Field.
The new display will be one of the largest high school football video displays in the state of Missouri. Sitting on top of the display is a custom 51’W arched truss with a rear lit Eagle logo. Alongside the video display is custom revenue generating signs for sponsors. Below the video the 41’W LED Scoreboard will also assist the video display in viewing scoring data.
Every Eagles fan will be able to enjoy an unlimited variety of live game-day action, sponsorship messages and interactive fan-prompts. Not only will Joplin visually see the game updates on the big screen but they will also hear it with the Stadium Pro 1000 Sound System™ that will provide audio for every seat in the stadium.
The project is set to install to Junge Field end of June 2021!
