THE CITY OF DUBOIS BRINGS NEW GAME-DAY ATMOSPHERE TO ROSE AND DENNIS HEINDL MEMORIAL FIELD AND STERN FAMILY FIELD

GREENVILLE, IL, June 1, 2018 – The city of DuBois in Pennsylvania partnered with Nevco to bring state-of-the-art video display scoring solutions to the newest fields at DuBois City Park ahead of a full line-up of games and tournaments in 2018.

The new Softball, Rose and Dennis Heindl Memorial Field and enhanced Stern Family Baseball Field will both be outfitted with a full color 20mm LED Video Display stretching over 15’ W and over 10’ H. The displays will provide the City of DuBois with several ways to elevate the crowd experience by using a variety of animations and graphics, sponsorship messages, live game-day action, and more. Designed with over 38,000 crisp pixels each, the displays will bring a live and exciting atmosphere to captivate fans at every game.

“The new video enhancements to both fields take our park to another level all together and will have a long-lasting impact on the DuBois community and the variety of teams we host each year,” says Joe Mitchell, Director of Redevelopment Authority for the City of DuBois. “We have barely even tapped into what the boards are capable of doing and already we’re overly impressed with their performance.”

Further enhancing each display is a model 1606 Baseball/Softball scoreboard, complete with  electronic team names, allowing the city to customize the home and guest team names for each team that plays at the park. Below the scoreboard sits a 3-digit pitch count display, which will accurately keep track of the number of pitches thrown for both the home and away teams. Completing the scoring solution is an arched sign displaying city name, while non-illuminated sponsor signs surround the display proudly displaying local sponsor, Penn Highlands Healthcare.

Both Rose and Dennis Heindl Memorial Field and Stern Family Field hosted the 2018 Scotts® Major League Baseball (MLB) Pitch Hit & Run Local Competition on Sunday, May 20th. The competition provides local youth players in the 7-14 age range with an opportunity to show their skill set, in hopes of advancing to the National Finals during MLB All-Star Week.

“It was a pleasure to work with the City of DuBois on this exciting project” says Nevco Sports Video Sales Consultant, Kennedy Cross. “The new scoring equipment for this facility will not only  enhance the overall game-day atmosphere as a whole, but also bring new opportunities for future tournaments and events to the park as well.”

The new scoring equipment was installed earlier this month. Check out the install photo below and be sure to check out nevco.com to plan your next video display and scoring solution project!
