Nevco Takes Valparaiso’s Game-Days to the Next Level
Nevco delivers enhanced game-day experience while elevating school spirit and community engagement.
EDWARDSVILLE, IL, October 30, 2024 – Nevco is excited to highlight its latest advancements at Valparaiso High School in Valparaiso, Indiana. The new display, scoring and audio installation represents a significant upgrade to the Vikings’ home turf, enhancing the high school sports experience for students, families, and fans in the Valparaiso community.
A new Nevco Full Color 10mm LED True Pixel Video Display (15.75’H x 31.5’W) accompanied by a Model 7620 LED Scoreboard with Electronic Team Names now sits in the endzone ready to capture every second of game-day action. Discreetly sitting behind a customized scrim displaying the school mascot is the Vikings’ new Stadium Pro 1500 sound system. Backed by Nevco partners Electro-Voice and Dynacord, the new audio system boasts concert quality sound ensuring all announcements and game action is heard above crowd noise. The scoring solution was completed with a Custom Split Decorative Arch Truss and Truss Letters that display, “Valparaiso High School” along with sponsor signage prominently placed above and below the scoreboard.
The new football display marks the third facility enhancement Valparaiso has teamed up with Nevco on in the last 4 years. The Vikings upgraded their softball field with a new Model 1606 scoreboard in 2020 and last winter, upgraded their gymnasium with a Full Color 6mm LED 2-Sided Video Display (6.92’H x 11.81’W on each side) and (2) Model 2702 ancillary scoreboards. For the upcoming basketball season, they will further enhance their setup by adding two 10′ rear-lit scorer’s tables courtside.

The football display was completed just in time to be unveiled to the Valparaiso community at Senior Night. Valparaiso’s football team has placed in the top 3 of their conference for the past 5 years and are prepped to do the same in 2024 with their new championship level game-day atmosphere.
