Lee’s Summit School District teams up with Nevco for trio of new video displays
The project highlights an exciting partnership between Nevco and one of the premiere school districts in the state of Missouri
EDWARDSVILLE, IL, May 6, 2022 – Game-day will have a new look in the Lee’s Summit School District when the 2022 football season kicks off this fall.
The district has partnered with Nevco to light up all three of its high schools at Lee’s Summit, Lee’s Summit North and Lee’s Summit West with new custom video display football scoreboards.
A project in the making since 2020, fans of the Tigers, Broncos and Titans will see immersive full-color 16mm LED video displays, measuring 31.5’W and 17.77’H, to provide in-game action, animated graphics, fan engagement, and sponsorship opportunities for the financial benefit of the district.
“Lee’s Summit R-7 District Athletic Director Rich Bechard and I first started discussion about a district-wide video display project in 2020 and as we all know, good things take time,” remarked Josh Robbers, Regional Video Display Consultant for Nevco. “Rich and I stayed in contact and the time finally came to have video displays installed at each high school location. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to partner with one of the most prestigious school districts in the state of Missouri. Being awarded this project has shown a true partnership between Lee’s Summit R-7 and Nevco for years to come.”
Complimenting the video displays will be 32’W by 4’H scoreboards, featuring interchangeable electronic team names, white LED digits, custom sponsorship signage along the bottom to provide additional revenue opportunities and decorative 12’W by 14’H split square trusses up top, proudly displaying the name of each school at their respective fields.
The projects, scheduled to install early in the summer, will bring the fans of each school and the Lee’s Summit community together as they watch their teams battle on the gridiron.
“We are excited to be working with Nevco to upgrade our football facilities,” said Bechard. “The addition of the video scoring systems will create memorable game-days for our athletes and fans for years to come.”
