Moncton Coliseum Adds Nevco Equipment to Enhance Fan’s Experience
GREENVILLE, IL, January 30, 2015– The Moncton Coliseum Complex, Canada’s top entertainment and trade show facility, turned to Nevco to enhance their visitors’ experience with a custom, center-hung scoring solution and video display. The new display provides excellent image clarity and contrast with wide angle visibility to appeal to every seat in the house. This was a very important decision criteria for the Coliseum’s Operations division as they host a variety of entertainment events including: sporting events, concert performances, international shows, and trade shows.
The Moncton Coliseum Complex, home of the Moncton Wildcats hockey team and Moncton Miracles basketball team, needed to improve their operational board for their lease agreement with the teams. At first, Moncton Operations were nervous of the price tag of such a project; however, facility Operations worked with Nevco to inexpensively retrofit the screen of the display to fit with their existing equipment. With not a lot of time to complete the project, the facilities’ team at Moncton Coliseum Complex, was able to do the install of the products themselves.
The finished custom scoring solution consists of three 6’H x 9’W 10mm LED Nevco Video Displays with over 130,000 pixels and three Nevco scoreboards giving the Coliseum a unique 6 sided centerpiece in their facility. The custom video displays will be controlled using Nevco’s proprietary Display Director Software. Nevco’s Display Director software allows the Moncton Coliseum’s game-day operations to be easily managed through one, universal, touchscreen operating system. With a single touch, game day operators can switch from displaying graphics that compliment key plays, showing detailed player stats, and featuring sponsorship games and advertising. Just as easily, the three separate video displays can display different content, dividing the screens and displaying different graphics at the same time, or the three screens can be converted at one time creating a singular, cohesive branding opportunity for special sponsors.
