Scoreboard Improves Athletics and Academics

CIMARRON, NM – Cimarron High School (CHS) has become one of the most progressive high school institutions in the United States, both academically and athletically, all due to the installation of an integrated video display from Nevco. Today the Cimarron High School Rams play their home games in front of a newly installed Nevco integrated video scoreboard, with video operation and production run by CHS students.

The new scoreboard consists of a Model 2700-ETN and 10mm, full-color LED video display. The video display has a video and instant replay capabilities and offers the opportunity to increase sponsorship and ad revenue through dynamic advertisements. With video messaging capabilities, CHS can also now communicate information to students during the day.

With the new video scoring solution and control room, CHS integrated athletics and academics to create a whole new educational opportunity for students. Through Nevco’s on-site installation and control room training, the CHS students quickly began producing and broadcasting games. They have impacted all aspects of athletics and academics through the district, region and state. Their video team took their show on the road, ESPN style, to do a complete broadcast of the basketball state tournament at the Santa Anna Center, home of the New Mexico Scorpions hockey team.

Located at the base of the beautiful Sangre De Cristo Mountains in northern New Mexico, Cimarron High School is known around the state for excellence in academics, athletics and technology. ')}
