Odessa College Installs a Nevco Video Basketball Scoreboard

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]ODESSA, TX – Today, Odessa College installed a new video basketball scoreboard from Nevco, Inc. for their OC Sports Center. As a part of their facility upgrade plan, the College decided to replace their 30 year old Nevco scoreboard with the latest technology to assist with their recruiting efforts. The new additions include shot and game clocks, end of period lights and a custom basketball video scoreboard.

The College identified an expectation among potential student athlete recruits (and fans) for a color display to show video, replays and other graphics. As such, the scoreboard was installed with a 8.34′ x 12.6′ full-color 10mm LED video display with live video and instant replay capabilities. This solution offers state-of-the-art, high definition video with the ability to display dynamic advertising and crowd-energizing graphics.

The scoreboard also offers Nevco’s exclusive Intelligent Caption™ feature, which gives Odessa College the flexibility to change scoring information automatically between various sports. In addition, with the scoreboard’s Electronic Team Names, the College can customize the team name for each team playing in the facility, thus avoiding the static “VISITORS” that is commonly found elsewhere.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]
