GRAMBLING STATE UNIVERSITY ENHANCES EDDIE G. ROBINSON MEMORIAL STADIUM TO GIVE TIGER FANS 378,000 REASONS TO CHEER

GREENVILLE, IL, October 5, 2017– Fans attending football games at Eddie G. Robinson Memorial Stadium at Grambling State University in Grambling, LA will have an additional 378,000 reasons to cheer the Tigers onto victory this season with a brand new, eye-catching Nevco Video Display.

The massive, 47’ wide Nevco 16mm Full Color LED Video Display has the power to instantly engage Tiger fans like never before with live game-changing action, animations, sponsorship messages, and up-to-the-minute scoring and statistical information utilizing Nevco’s exclusive Display DirectorTM Software. The easy-to-use, touchscreen computer software possesses variable content zoning capabilities, and allows for game-day operators to manage and control all LED units easily and efficiently.

Sitting above the new video display, the Tigers added a decorative arch truss with a double-sided rear-lit logo and a personalized front mesh face scrim for a unique home-team advantage.

“We are extremely excited to partner with Nevco for the video display enhancements at Eddie G. Robinson Memorial Stadium,” says Grambling State University Athletics Director, Paul Bryant. “The new display will greatly improve the overall fan experience during home events, and is a terrific investment that will result in positive returns for the athletics department and university as a whole.”

“Nevco is thrilled for the opportunity to work with Grambling State University to enhance their game-day atmosphere through the power of video. The opportunities the new display and scoring solution will present the athletics department and students will leave a positive impact for years to come,” says Large Venue Regional Manager, Wes Wood.

Nevco continued to work with Grambling State, outside of their scoring equipment needs, to present the university with an exciting opportunity for an educational partnership. Nevco presented (ten) $500 individual scholarships per year, a total of $10,000 in scholarships over the next two years, for the university to distribute to students majoring in Mass Communications.

“Nevco went above and beyond for us, both on and off the field,” says Marc Newman, Vice President of Advancement, Research, and Economic Development at Grambling State University. “The new, one-of-a-kind LED Video Display will not only serve as a game-day enhancement for our Tiger community, but along with the new scholarships, it will partner as an educational resource with endless hands-on opportunities to attract new students and bring interest to our Communications department. We are extremely pleased with the hard work and impressive, attention-to-detail attitude the Nevco team put forth on this project since day one.”

Grambling State further maximized their investment by working with HYPE Creative Services, a division of Nevco, to create custom animations that include headshot templates, a 3D rotating logo, and fan prompts including noise meters and sponsorship graphics to be displayed before, during, and after events for non-stop crowd entertainment.

The new Nevco Video Display was installed in September, just in time to pump up the crowd for the Tigers’ first home game of the season. Check out the install photo below and be sure to check out www.nevco.com to plan your next video display and scoring solution project!
