Can I put Nevco scoreboard data on my message center, video display or scorer’s table?
Yes you can!
Nevco has a technology that we call virtual scoring where the user can design their own scoreboard and render images of it right on their Nevco display. Ask your sales consultant about Nevco’s Virtual Scoring Package today.
How do I know my scoreboard width?
You can find your scoreboard width on your proof.
Why would I use spreadfooting?
You would use spreadfooting when you cannot drill a hole deep enough for a standard post or post with laterals installation.
Does Nevco provide installation services?
Nevco does installations on certain large projects and can help you find an installer for even the smallest job. Contact our sales team for more information.
Do I need to get soil borings performed at the installation site?
Getting a geotechnical survey done at the installation site will eliminate risks of cost overruns during install. The standard installation prints assume class4 soil type, which is conservative in most areas. The footing depths shown on the installation prints can give scope to the contractor performing the soil borings so they know how deep to take the samples.
Do I need to paint the steel columns and lateral tubing (if any)?
Yes, a rust inhibative protective coating should be applied to the steel before hanging the cabinets. Make sure you buy the correct primer/paint for the surface you are painting and follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
Can the equipment run on any voltage?
All Nevco Scoreboards, Message Centers and Video displays can run on any single phase voltage from 90 – 265VAC. Typically 120/208/240VAC are used. Confirm power requirements on the electrical instructions / prints for the equipment that you are installing.
Can I use existing coax cable for my installation?
Most equipment now-a-days is wireless, but all Nevco controls and scoreboards have the capability of operating over the same coax cable that older generations of scoreboards used. Be sure and test the cable prior to know that it can still be used.
Can Nevco specify wall anchors?
The specific type of anchor and structural capability of the building wall to support the weight of the display should be specified by the architect of the building or engineer of record for the school district.
Can I put a longer power cord on the scoreboard to reach an existing receptacle?
Yes, the scoreboard has a detachable 6’7″ IEC power cord that can be replaced with a longer one. The UL48 standard for signs limits the cord to 15′ in length.
