ARCADIA APACHES UPGRADE SALTER STADIUM WITH NEW NEVCO VIDEO DISPLAY AND SCORING SOLUTION

GREENVILLE, IL, October 14, 2015– The Arcadia Apaches in Arcadia, CA incorporated a new element to their game day experience this year at Salter Stadium with the addition of a new Nevco LED Video Display and Scoring Solution.

The main attraction of the new equipment installed at the stadium includes a Nevco full color, LED Video Display that features live game action, instant replays, vivid animated graphics, and allows for endless sponsorship opportunities. Sitting below the Nevco Video Display, the Apaches scored a new Nevco model 7620 scoreboard complete with Electronic Team Names, which identifies each team’s name playing on the field. The video display provides a brand new atmosphere for the Apaches well known and respected halftime band performances, and takes them to the next level while allowing students their time on the live display under the stadium lights.

“We are extremely happy and fortunate to have this new addition to our stadium. The video scoreboard adds a new dimension to every game or contest we will hold. All of our coaches, boosters, and athletes are brainstorming the numerous ways it will enhance sports and other activities at Arcadia High School. After just our first game, there was incredible buzz about the scoreboard and what it adds.” said Chris Schultz, varsity track & field coach, game night announcer, and chief operator of the new scoring display

Arcadia High School is also equipped with Nevco Display Director Software, a user-friendly, single touchscreen computer that enables game-day operators to run the Video Display easily and efficiently. Display Director Software interfaces with Nevco scoreboards to obtain Real Time scoring and timing data and can then use this to populate graphics on the screen for virtual scoring, player headshots, halftime stats and more. Working in conjunction with the Display Director Software, Arcadia High School utilizes a mobile control cart complete with a Tricaster switcher, an instant replay device and two cameras.

Arcadia High School is one of the top academic schools in the country with a journalism/broadcasting department that rivals some collegiate programs. With the addition of this technology, it allows students the opportunity to utilize professional grade equipment to run game-day operations and gain hands on experience that will benefit them during and after their years at Arcadia High.
