CAL STATE SAN MARCOS COUGARS PROWL INTO 2016 SEASON WITH NEW NEVCO EQUIPMENT

GREENVILLE, IL, September 7, 2016– When Cougar fans at California State University San Marcos in San Marcos, CA, enter The Sports Center for the first home indoor athletic event, they will notice two huge new Nevco LED Video Displays to enhance their game-day experience like never before.

Complete with over 216,000 pixels each and stretching nearly 12’ wide, the new Nevco LED Full Color 6mm Video Displays will have capabilities to show everything from in-game action, key player/game stats, and exciting animated fan-prompts.

“We’re really excited about this visual experience upgrade to The Sports Center. Our student-athletes, student body, fans, parents, sponsors and entire Cougar community will benefit from the new Nevco equipment. This is another key step in our investment in athletics and the University displaying our commitment and excitement in joining the NCAA Division II,” said Jennifer Milo, Director of Athletics at California State University San Marcos.

The new Nevco LED Video Displays will be accompanied by Nevco LED and Rear-Lit Scorers Tables lining the sidelines. The Nevco LED Scorers Tables maximize the courtside space, are an attractive spot for press and stat keepers, and allow you to continuously generate revenue by displaying virtually limitless inventory spots for sponsors, advertising, and donors.

The video displays and scorers tables will be run using Nevco’s proprietary Display Director ™ Software that utilizes a single, universal touchscreen computer and interfaces with scoring data to display real time game stats on the screen.

Cal State San Marcos is also working with Nevco’s creative division, HYPE Creative Services, to develop branded, animated fan-prompts, a headshot template, noise meter graphic, and the women’s volleyball open. HYPE Creative Services works with each client to customize game graphics, sponsorship games and animations, and pre-game intro videos to keep fans engaged and excited.

In addition to the video displays and scorers tables, the Cougars also upgraded the arena with more of Nevco’s integrated product line, Model SSC-7 Shot Clocks and Locker Room Clocks. These upgrades to the arena come in addition to their existing Nevco Model 2770 scoreboards with SD7-5 Stat Panels.

The Cougars will debut their new Nevco Video Displays on September 1 for their dedication Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and the lady Cougars first home volleyball game.
