A New Standard for Football

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]GREENVILLE, IL – Tonight, Edwardsville High School officially unveiled their new, state-of-the-art video scoreboard in time for their homecoming football game. The video scoreboard features a 19-ft x 11-ft full-color video matrix mounted above a 24-ft x 8-ft Model 3685 Intelligent Caption™ scoreboard from Nevco, Inc., the largest private manufacturer and distributor of LED video and scoreboard products. Students from EHS used three video cameras and Nevco Composer™ software to display player profiles, live-action video from the game, panoramic video of the crowd and exciting animations to thrill the fans.[/vc_column_text][vc_video link=”http://youtu.be/jeVImOhvR_w”][vc_column_text]The scoreboard was purchased entirely with private donations from local businesses and individuals, and will serve to enhance the athletic experience for athletes and fans, while also providing a unique educational opportunity for the students who run the video cameras and video control room equipment. The video scoreboard also gives EHS an opportunity to offer video sponsorships to local businesses that support EHS.

The Intelligent Caption scoreboard also makes EHS a more attractive venue for tournaments and playoff games. LED matrixes on the scoreboard can quickly and easily change team names and can automatically switch from one sport to another. For example, it can show BALL ON, DOWN, TO GO, and QUARTER for a football game on Friday night, and automatically change to SHOTS/SAVES or CK/PK for a soccer tournament on Saturday morning.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row] ')}
