Greenville, IL, September 11, 2020 – In Texas, football is larger than life. From the passion of the fans to the exceptional High School facilities, the Lonestar state is the pinnacle for Friday night lights. Del Valle ISD in Del Valle, TX, will now feature one of the best video scoring displays in the state and provide an electric atmosphere for the Cardinal football team and community to enjoy.
With a recent partnership with Nevco, Cardinal football has a new home-field advantage, as they will introduce a full color video scoreboard that will be sure to create a new game-day experience on fall Friday nights.
“Our district has been committed to providing the best for our students” mentioned Tawni Angel, Del Valle Athletic Director. “Choosing the right video display was very important to us. In 2017, we opened our new athletic facility and the final touch to our athletic renovation was the scoring display. Nevco offered a great product, exceptional service from their team, and made us feel truly valued as a partner.”
Veterans Stadium at Del Valle will feature a 16MM virtual LED Display that measures over 25’H and stretches more 47’W designed to provide live-in game action, endless revenue opportunities, and a new fan experience. Beneath the display will sit a custom 39’W x 5’H strip football scoreboard, with school signage flanking each end. Topping off the new addition will be Nevco’s Stadium Pro™ professional-grade sound system designed to integrate with the video display and scoreboard for concert quality sound.
“Working with Del-Valle was an incredible experience” said Troy Burns, the Nevco Consultant behind the project. “Everything is bigger in Texas and being able to provide a video display of this size for the school to enjoy is very rewarding. I can’t wait to stop by this fall to see it in action.”
More Than A Display
The Nevco video displays are more than a scoreboard solution, but an opportunity to empower students to gain an understanding of media production. “With our new video scoreboard, we can offer a new educational curriculum to our students” said Angel. “Partnering with Nevco has been more than just providing a new stadium experience but provides a new opportunity for our students to see a glimpse of what a career in this field may look like.”
“With ever increasing technology, we recognize the importance of providing more than just a scoring solution” Burns says. “This video display gives the entire school community an opportunity to benefit.” Over the years, Nevco has developed a detailed curriculum plan designed for schools to implement the video display into everyday curriculum. Through training and on-going support, all students have the chance to benefit from the new display.
The virtual scoring display will showcase everything from live game action and instant replays to vibrant animated graphics and sponsorship messages using Nevco’s proprietary Display
Director™ Software. With installation complete, the Nevco team will take the next steps in training the Cardinals game-day staff so operations can be easily managed through one, universal operating system. “It’s important to us that our clients are comfortable and confident with the systems they have. They also know that even after training is complete, we’re just a phone call away,” Burns explains.
With football underway, the Del Valle Cardinals next home game will be Friday, October 2nd when they host Liberty Hill.
