THE UNIVERSITY OF NORTH FLORIDA ADDS NEVCO EQUIPMENT TO ENHANCE BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL FACILITIES
GREENVILLE, IL, August 23, 2017– The University of North Florida in Jacksonville, FL has teamed up with Nevco once again to upgrade and enhance the overall game-day experience for Osprey baseball and softball with the addition of new Video Display Scoring Solutions at Harmon Stadium and the UNF Softball Complex.
The main attraction coming to Dusty Rhodes Field at Harmon Stadium, home of the University of North Florida’s baseball team, is a jaw-dropping 22’ wide 16mm Nevco Full Color LED Video Display with the power to project over 88,000 vibrant pixels. The Osprey’s further complemented their new video display with a custom Nevco scoreboard complete with white LEDs and Electronic Team Names, making it easy to personalize and identify each team playing at Dusty Rhodes Field.
The Ospreys also worked with Nevco to bring electrifying upgrades to the UNF Softball Complex. Osprey fans will be brought to their feet to catch eye of the new 16mm Nevco Full Color LED Video Display during home games. Further outfitting the complex, a Nevco Model 1610 LED Scoreboard hangs prominently near the new display to keep umpires, coaches, players, and fans informed with the latest scoring information pitch by pitch.
The new video displays will provide hype and excitement for the Osprey baseball and softball teams by firing up the crowd with endless video possibilities, including live in-game action, up-to-the-minute statistics, instant replays, and interactive fan prompts. Additionally, Nevco provided the Stalker Radar Gun package, which will integrate with the baseball display to virtually project single pitch speeds throughout each game. All LED units will be managed by Nevco’s exclusive Display Director SoftwareTM, a universal, touchscreen computer to ease game-day operations. Both displays are bordered with decorative, non-illuminated signs displaying the university’s mascot, logos and corporate sponsors.
