NEVCO ANNOUNCES NEW PARTNERSHIP WITH MICHIGAN HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL COACHES ASSOCIATION (MHSBCA)

GREENVILLE, IL, August 10, 2017– Nevco, Inc., is excited to announce its new partnership with the Michigan High School Baseball Coaches Association (MHSBCA) as the official sponsor of scoreboards, video boards, and pitch count displays.

The two-year long partnership was sparked after the Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSSA), under a mandate from the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS), adopted a new pitching limitation for the 2017 baseball season. The new MHSAA baseball rule, as reported by Don VanderVeen at Michigan Live, now places a pitch limit of 105 per game or up to three days of rest for any player’s single-game pitch totals. Previously, pitchers were required only two days of rest after completing 30 outs in a week span. The new rule was put into place to reduce the number of arm injuries in young athletes from over-use.

“We are delighted to have Nevco join our team of corporate sponsors,” says John Kostrzewa, member of the MHSBCA Executive Board. “Nevco’s high quality products and long-lasting reputation in customer service will provide a much needed solution to assist schools in accurately monitoring their athletes’ pitch counts at both the high school and traveling club league levels.”

As the official scoreboard company for MHSBCA, Nevco will receive a number of advertising and promotional benefits including appearances in all MHSBCA publications and a full page spread in the East vs. West All Star Game program held at Comerica Park, home of MLB’s Detroit Tigers. These advertisements will further help inform Michigan institutions on how they can enhance their scoring solution to meet new regulations, host revenue-generating tournaments and ultimately, experience the Nevco difference.
